Official Rules for HSAR's Retriever's Ball 2026

1. Eligibility: This Sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of the United States who are at least 18 years of age or older at the time of entry, and who enter by the methods described in "How to Enter" below. Void where prohibited by law.

2. Agreement to Rules: By participating, you agree to be fully and unconditionally bound by these Rules, and you represent and warrant that you meet the eligibility requirements set forth herein. You agree to accept the decisions of High Sierra Animal Rescue ("HSAR" or "Sponsor") as final and binding as they relate to the content of this Sweepstakes. The Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws.

3. Sweepstakes Period: Entries will be accepted online, by phone, in person, and by mail beginning [August 10, 2026] and ending [August 22, 2026 at 12pm].

4. How to Enter: The Sweepstakes may be entered by the following methods, each of which carries equal odds of winning regardless of entry method:

   • Submitting an entry with a donation ($5 per numbered ball), online, by phone, or in person at HSAR or at the event.

   • No donation necessary: Mail your name, phone number, and email address to HSAR at 103 Meadowridge Lane, Portola, CA 96122. One free entry will be logged per mailed request, limited to one free entry per person per day during the Sweepstakes Period. Entries that are incomplete or do not adhere to these rules may be disqualified at the sole discretion of HSAR.

5. Odds of Winning: You are not guaranteed to win a prize. Your chance of winning is dependent on the total number of eligible entries received. Donation-based and no-donation (mail-in) entries are weighted equally and have identical odds of winning.

6. Prizes: There are six (6) prizes available to be won. No cash alternative will be offered, and prizes are not transferable, except at the sole discretion of HSAR.

7. Winner Selection and Notification: Winners will be selected in a random drawing conducted by a dog at the Mill Pond in the presence of the Sweepstakes Sponsor. Winners will be notified via the email address or phone number provided at the time of entry within five (5) business days following the drawing. If a winner cannot be reached or does not respond within 5 days, HSAR reserves the right to select an alternate winner.

8. Prize Delivery: Prizes will be mailed to the address provided by the winner, or may be picked up at 103 Meadowridge Lane, Portola, CA 96122. Winners are responsible for any shipping arrangements requested beyond standard delivery.

9. Taxes: Winners are solely responsible for any tax obligations, if any, associated with a prize.

10. Publicity Release: Except where prohibited, acceptance of a prize constitutes winner's consent for HSAR to use their name, likeness, and general location for promotional purposes related to this Sweepstakes, without additional compensation.

11. Liability Release: By entering, participants release HSAR, its employees, volunteers, and agents from any liability related to participation in this Sweepstakes or the acceptance, use, or misuse of any prize.

12. Sponsor: The Sponsor of this Sweepstakes is High Sierra Animal Rescue, 103 Meadowridge Lane, Portola, CA 96122.
